Men are two and a half times more likely than women to have cosmetic surgery for
professional reasons as they believe good looks are the key to landing a better
job.
?This is in line with a University of Sydney study that found that ?lookism? is on
the rise and your physical appearance is more important than previous experience in
some trades? says Dr Gavin Chan of the Victorian Cosmetic Institute.
Dr Chan says men are now feeling similar pressure to look their best as women have
for many years.
